(2022-2024) supported by Earth4All and The Club of Rome
The Club of Rome engaged PEP to lead the Earth4All national-level engagement strategy in Kenya—the first country campaign in Africa—as part of its global campaign to advocate for governments to adopt policies for a sustainable planet. The objective of the program was to champion Earth4All’s messages and ensure they were in sync with national and sub-national policies and development priorities in Kenya. As part of the program, PEP launched a report co-authored with the Kenya Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), and in collaboration with the Club of Rome and Millennium Institute, to shape Earth4All’s national engagement strategy in Kenya. The report called for a radical transformation away from an extractive economy dominated by GDP growth to wellbeing economies that place a value on people, planet and prosperity. The report identified several policy levers which had to be implemented simultaneously to achieve this goal. Read more about it in this news story, Kenya could eradicate poverty and achieve economic prosperity by 2050 according to new report.
